This morning on our walk, Vaughn started praying the last 10 minutes or so. He kept folding his arms, bowing his head, saying a few words very quietly, and then ending with "A Mess," and then looking up at me to say "Amen" back to him. He repeated this probably 20 or 30 times, which I'm sure added some extra security and safety to our excursion.
I'm not really sure if he thinks every time we pray we are saying something about "A Mess," since that is a word that he is very familiar with and can say quite well. Two of his favorite phrases are "I make a mess!" and "Dis a mess!" The world must be a very interesting one in a toddlers brain!
