My friend Kat, from Fritzi Marie is having this really fun giveaway for National Poetry Month. I think it's such a great idea, so this morning while I was out with the boys I threw a few books of poetry in my backpack, and wrote this one down that I like from Elizabeth Jennings, and then photographed it.
A fist of red fire, a flower
Opening in the sun. A kind of peace
Taking over at last, and then the quick release.
You should jump on over, and enter too (they have lots of great prizes)!
Here are some more pictures of our little outing. The boys were especially cute-- telling me all about their favorite colors, and superheroes, and favorite foods. Mason kept holding my hand and calling me Wonder Woman.
While we were on the walkway we played "Three Billy Goats Gruff," which consisted of me saying "Trip-trap, trip-trap, whose that walking on my bridge?" And then me eventually chasing after them pretending I was going to eat them, and them running away and screaming. I like pretending to be a troll. :-)
Hope you all have a fun week!
Love from Vegas.
